June 18, 2007, Tysons Corner, VA – Beers + Cutler, the leading accounting and consulting firm focused on the Washington, DC region, represented the accounting profession by fielding over 45 real estate professionals as volunteers and participants in the 18th Annual Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) Real Estate Games at American University on June 14th.

Over 1,300 people from the commercial real estate community participated in the Olympic-style events, helping bring the total raised to support the JDRF mission to find a cure for juvenile diabetes to $3.2 million since the event’s inception. In a typical year, more than 80 percent of JDRF’s expenditures directly support research and research-related education.

Beers + Cutler’s real estate team showed their range of athletic prowess with entrants in the 50 meter freestyle, fastball challenge, table tennis, volleyball, lacrosse, obstacle course and one and five mile runs. “The JDRF Real Estate games align the competitive spirit and commitment to charitable giving that makes the Washington real estate community great.
