Former Choice Hotels Senior Vice President Joins Firm’s Consulting Practice

October 10, 2007, Tysons Corner, VA – Beers + Cutler, the leading accounting and consulting firm focused on the Washington, DC region, today announced that Dan Head will join the firm as a partner in Beers + Cutler’s consulting practice. With over 50 professionals, the practice provides expertise in business information systems consulting, government contract consulting, transaction advisory services, forensic accounting & investigations and higher education consulting services to top companies and leading institutions throughout the country. He will work closely with the consulting group’s leadership to direct its overall strategy and lead the growth of new service offerings focused primarily on large corporate clients.

Most recently, Mr. Head served as senior vice president of business intelligence and strategy with Choice Hotels International where he led the formulation of the overall corporate strategy and implemented a balanced scorecard to track the execution of the strategy. Additionally, Mr. Head defined the company’s information technology strategy and created a new governance process to manage technology investments. Prior to joining Choice Hotels, Mr. Head was a managing director in the Communications Industry Practice and subsequently in the Public Services Practice at BearingPoint. While there he led management consulting and technical-driven solutions to enable customers to enhance their competitive position.

Mr. Head began his career with the audit practice of Arthur Andersen. He then moved to the consulting division where he worked for ten years and was promoted to partner in charge of the Technology, Media & Communications Industry Practice for the Southeast Region.

Dan earned his undergraduate degree from the College of William & Mary and his M.B.A. from the University of Virginia.
